Trunk Sewer Project to Temporarily Close Anderson Road

Hermantown, Minn. – A section of Anderson Road in Hermantown will be closed for a week beginning Monday, September 21, 2020.

The stretch of Anderson Road between Okerstrom Road and Haines Road will be unavailable to traffic as Utility Systems of America, Inc., complete a key portion of Hermantown’s Section 24 Trunk Sewer Spur project. The road will be closed early Monday morning and is slated to be opened Friday or Saturday, but may open sooner based on the construction schedule in the immediate area.

The Section 24 Trunk Sewer Spur project will open up more than 230 acres of Hermantown to development between Maple Grove Road and Hermantown Road on the east edge of the city. The project will also include a community-accessible, non-motorized trail built within the trunk sewer spur corridor which will connect the southeastern parts of Hermantown with Stebner Park.
