Hermantown Volunteer Fire Department Receives a

$500 Grant from the Enbridge Safe Community Program

The Hermantown Volunteer Fire Department recently received a $500 Grant from the

Enbridge Energy Company, Inc.  to be used toward the purchase of new Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus tanks.   Mark Olson, Sr. Right-of-Way Agent - Superior Region, is shown presenting the donation to Mike Marshall, Deputy Chief – HVFD, earlier this week.  Through the Replacement of Aging Equipment project the HVFD is able to purchase new Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus tanks, partially funded by the Enbridge Safe Community Program, to replace tanks nearing the end of their shelf life.  This gear is used by the firefighters during fires and other incidents where air tanks are necessary for breathing.

The HVFD expresses a sincere thank you to the Enbridge Energy Company, Inc. for their support of the Fire Department’s urgent needs for the communities we serve.
